It was the middle of summer and the town was bustling with people, teenagers living life as they pleased since school wasn’t taking up their entire day. Caesar was settled behind the counter of her bakery, listening to the sound of children laughing in the park across the street. She was leaning against the counter, her eyes closed lightly as she listened to the world around her, ears twitching at any new sound falling within her range of hearing.

What a lovely, quiet little town. I’m glad I settled down here instead of Tokyo. Caesar thought to herself in her dreamy daze. She did look like she was about to passout outside of her thoughts, since she’d been standing there with her eyes closed for so long. They weren’t busy at all, so she didn’t really care anyways.

“There’s plenty of places to sleep. The guest bedrooms, the couch, the floor, on top of the fridge…” he said, half-jokingly, “I won’t judge. And so long as the cat doesn’t sleep directly on my face that is okay.”

He began to move her bags into the guest bedroom nearest his, “I’d imagine you’d like a bed to sleep on?”

He led her to the room, which was conveniently enough, pink, and had a fluffy bed and a window view of the garden, with its own bathroom and a TV on top of the dresser,

“Used to be my kid cousin’s room when she lived here, we never painted over the pink. Figured you’d like it.”
