1988 Jotaro was walking around, looking at his surroundings, "Yare yare, where on earth am I now? Fucking stands and their stupid abilities..." (Jotaro-fuckin-Kujo)

Jolyne was taking a stroll around town later in the evening, as she tends to do when she’s ill-tempered. As she was finally becoming a bit more relaxed, she spots Jotaro out of the corner of her eye. Her heart flutters a bit, a bit anxious at his appearance. She wasn’t expecting him to be around town at all. She quickly changes her direction and encounters him after a thought’s hesitation on whether or not to talk to him.

“Yo. You uh… look lost? Are you feeling alright?” She says to him slightly confused, yet having a slight scowl towards the man, which is not too unusual for Jolyne. He should know this town like the back of his hand. Why is he acting like he’s in a new place?

“Yeah, I guess you could say I’m lost. Although I don’t expect you to be able to understand the concept of a Stand, so…” he looked around, “Where and when am I? And who are you?”

Star Platinum appeared, and pointed at the girl’s shoulder, “Ora!”

Jotaro glanced at her shoulder, “Wait… you have a Joestar birthmark? Then you must be related to me somehow.” He said, pulling down the collar of his coat to reveal the same star-shaped birthmark in the same spot.

Perking up at the word “Stand”, she appears aggravated at Jotaro’s cluelessness. Jolyne looks briefly at her birthmark when Star Platinum points it out, and shifts her weight to her left leg while putting her hands on her hips. Looking up at him, she states: “… My name is Jolyne. Your… Sigh…” She trails off a bit and looks at the ground while saying her next word. “…Daughter.” She looks back up at him. “You’re in my hometown where you married my Mother and you recently went on a trip to Hawaii to study the artifacts of an extinct marine species. I wasn’t expecting you back for another week.” After finishing her explanation, Jolyne stares hard at Jotaro. He’s younger. Rather than being surprised at this, she loosens her firm posture and softens her expression. “How did you come here?”

Jotaro took a few moments to process what she had just said,

“So I have a daughter?” He asked, “Well… this situation is probably the last one I expected myself to be in. Not quite sure how to react to this… I get back home after being attacked by Stand users for 50 days, my best friend’s house burns down, and now I’m talking with the daughter I haven’t had yet? Yare yare daze, I never thought my life could end up like this. Hopefully I become a better father than my dad…”

He adjusted his hat, and awaited a reply.

Jolyne darts her eyes away and gives a slight chuckle. “You weren’t the best Father, but recently… you’ve been there for me.” Realizing how cheesy that sounded, she rolls her eyes and huffs. Jolyne’s phone buzzes twice in her pocket. She checks it in front of Jotaro. It was her Mother telling her dinner was ready. She puts it away immediately, not wanting to be rude. She probably shouldn’t come back home with a younger version of her Father.

She bites her lip and looks into the distance, pondering… Deciding on it, she asks, “Do you want to see somewhere special to me? I haven’t gone there in years.” She smiles slightly and raises an eyebrow. “Unless you have plans to keep wandering around aimlessly.” Jolyne subconsciously decides not to be bitter towards him, since it wasn’t exactly HIM who had left her in her youth… She’ll show him her Father’s better side by taking him to this location.

Jotaro raised an eyebrow at the cell phone, but just assumed it was a futuristic pager, and nodded,

“I suppose I could spare some time. But I suppose I’ll try harder when it’s my turn to be your father. To be there for you all the time, instead of just recently.”

He then slid his hands into his pockets, and followed her,

“So, we’re in America?” He asked, seeing all of the buildings and street signs.
