There was a heavy knocking on the door before it was opened suddenly. Polnareff rushed in. “GUYS, I LEFT MY COMB WITH ONE OF YOU!” He looked around frantically for it.

“Perfect timing, Polnareff.” Kakyoin said with a stressed sigh.

“What?” The french man straightened up and looked over at them. “What’s wrong?”

“A man named Alessi kidnapped my parents and burned my house down.” The redhead looked pissed off about the entire thing.

“Alessi? That pedo with the ridiculous hair? Glad I came back for my comb. Looks like I’m not going home any time soon.” Pol chuckled. “We’ll get your parents back.”

jotaro-fuckin-kujo

“Yeah, that one.” Jotaro said, “This time, we actually send him to space.”

Star Platinum popped out of Jotaro, and punched its own palm, “Ora!”

“We’ll be heading out soon. We can find your comb after that.”

“We just need to find out what direction to go. Once we do that, we’re leaving.” Kakyoin got up and started to pack up again. While he did, he found a purple comb in his bag and held it up for Polnareff. “Found it. Must have gotten mixed with the rest of my stuff.”

“Ah, merci!” Polnareff took the comb.

fuckin-jojo-and-jowi

Jotaro sighed, “We’ll have Gamps’ stand make us a map. Until when we find him, we actually kill him this time, okay?”

Jotaro headed outside and began smoking a cigarette, looking off into the distance as if he were intending to kill Alessi with laser vision.

Jolyne was taking a stroll around town later in the evening, as she tends to do when she’s ill-tempered. As she was finally becoming a bit more relaxed, she spots Jotaro out of the corner of her eye. Her heart flutters a bit, a bit anxious at his appearance. She wasn’t expecting him to be around town at all. She quickly changes her direction and encounters him after a thought’s hesitation on whether or not to talk to him.

“Yo. You uh… look lost? Are you feeling alright?” She says to him slightly confused, yet having a slight scowl towards the man, which is not too unusual for Jolyne. He should know this town like the back of his hand. Why is he acting like he’s in a new place?

She stumbled as she landed on the ground, shocked that she wasn’t killed in the explosion. Once she heard Jotaro, she turned around immediately and blinked a few times to process her surroundings. Once Jolyne stood up straight, she crossed her arms and looked up at him. “Yeah, even if you did kill him, he’ll always remain here in this world if his followers are still alive…” She glares at him and looks away, making a “tsk” sound. After a long pause, she admits, “I almost killed you about a year ago by running into things without thinking…” His daughter gives him a look of shame. Sighing, she quickly embraces him and closes her eyes. “I’ll see you in the future, Dad.”

Jotaro hugged her, “I’ll look forward to it, Jolyne. Let’s both try to be better.” He said as he began to fade and disappear back into his own time.

Suddenly, Jotaro was right next to Jolyne in what appeared to be a furnished hotel, of some sorts?. Before he could speak, Jolyne quickly motions to be quiet, an intense look in her eyes. She pushed him against the wall and did the same next to him. Jolyne assumed they were on a boat, for she could feel the rock under her feet. They could hear talking from down the ill-lit hallway.

After checking for both ways to be clear, she went ahead and quietly stepped down the hallway and near the room where loud machines were gearing and screams were heard. There was a dead woman outside the door. “That was the source of the scream, huh? What’s happening in there?” Jolyne whispered. They both peered in to what seemed like a fight between a decapitated head and a strongly-built man. His eyes were not full of rage, but full of sorrow and empathy.

“Erina, take a good look!” A distinct, yet familiar voice yelled out.

jotaro-fuckin-kujo

“DIO….” Jotaro growled, clenching his fists in rage, “So this is what happened. When he took my great-great-grandfathers body… a hundred years before I got my Stand.”

Star Platinum glared at the decapitated head, and Jotaro did the same, “That’s the bastard who almost killed my mother. Who set our family on it’s cursed path in the first place!”

poorly-drawnjolyne

“…” Jolyne said nothing as her Father told her who he was. She had never met DIO herself, but knows who he is or… WHAT he is.

“I can’t stand to LOOK AT THIS ANYMORE!” Jolyne screamed as she ran into the room just as DIO took Jonathan’s body. Suddenly realizing her brash decision, she stood in horror, staring at DIO and his new body. She glanced around and didn’t see “Erina” anywhere. Without a moment’s hesitation, she ran towards DIO ready to punch with Stone Free.

DIO did not move. He was a tad surprised to see her, but gave Jolyne a sinister smile, as if he wasn’t even afraid of her. Before she could reach him, the boat exploded and Jolyne was engulfed in the flames along with DIO.

Jotaro stood there, as they returned to the entrance of the cave, “The past cannot be changed, Jolyne. We can only do our best in the present to change the future. If those events hadn’t happened, you and me may have never been born. But don’t worry, I killed DIO and exposed him to the sun, killing him. He’s gone.”

“So you mean… Those kids are my parents?” The redhead’s eyes widened. And with the description of this man ringing in his head, he shivered. “He’s disgusting. Whatever happens, he better not do anything else to them. If he does, I’m going to put him through a worse hell than I had planned.” Kakyoin growled.

He turned to Joseph. “I had suspected that DIO’s minions are going after us and our loved ones to get revenge for killing DIO. We should play it safe. Will the Speedwagon Foundation protect Mrs. Kujo and the others?”

“Absolutely. I’ll give them a call.” Joseph got up and left the room to go to a phone.

jotaro-fuckin-kujo

“Yare yare daze, never a dull moment, eh?” Jotaro asked Kakyoin, “Looks like the Crusaders ride again. Except Polnareff. One more bit of advice, don’t let your shadow cross with Alessi’s. His stand’s range is about 5 meters, but the effect persists until he’s unconscious, but nonetheless, your Heirophant shouldn’t have a big issue with him.”

rero-rero-cherries

“So as long as I stay out of his range and attack with Emerald Splash, nobody should get hurt. Good.” Kakyoin said, then hesitated. “He… He can’t stop time, can he? All he can do is de-age?” His barrier wasn’t connected to him, so he could set that up and watch as Alessi struggles before he kills him. The only problem left was, where were they, and how could the Crusaders find them?

fuckin-jojo-and-jowi

“No, he can’t stop time to my knowledge. He can only de-age. If you can get a solid hit on him then he’ll wuss out. He’s only tough enough to pick on children. He’s outlandish enough to recognize easily, so we can probably ask around to find him easily. And my time stop should make this easy.”

“Yeah, I guess you could say I’m lost. Although I don’t expect you to be able to understand the concept of a Stand, so…” he looked around, “Where and when am I? And who are you?”

Star Platinum appeared, and pointed at the girl’s shoulder, “Ora!”

Jotaro glanced at her shoulder, “Wait… you have a Joestar birthmark? Then you must be related to me somehow.” He said, pulling down the collar of his coat to reveal the same star-shaped birthmark in the same spot.

poorly-drawnjolyne

Perking up at the word “Stand”, she appears aggravated at Jotaro’s cluelessness. Jolyne looks briefly at her birthmark when Star Platinum points it out, and shifts her weight to her left leg while putting her hands on her hips. Looking up at him, she states: “… My name is Jolyne. Your… Sigh…” She trails off a bit and looks at the ground while saying her next word. “…Daughter.” She looks back up at him. “You’re in my hometown where you married my Mother and you recently went on a trip to Hawaii to study the artifacts of an extinct marine species. I wasn’t expecting you back for another week.” After finishing her explanation, Jolyne stares hard at Jotaro. He’s younger. Rather than being surprised at this, she loosens her firm posture and softens her expression. “How did you come here?”

jotaro-fuckin-kujo

Jotaro took a few moments to process what she had just said,

“So I have a daughter?” He asked, “Well… this situation is probably the last one I expected myself to be in. Not quite sure how to react to this… I get back home after being attacked by Stand users for 50 days, my best friend’s house burns down, and now I’m talking with the daughter I haven’t had yet? Yare yare daze, I never thought my life could end up like this. Hopefully I become a better father than my dad…”

He adjusted his hat, and awaited a reply.

poorly-drawnjolyne

Jolyne darts her eyes away and gives a slight chuckle. “You weren’t the best Father, but recently… you’ve been there for me.” Realizing how cheesy that sounded, she rolls her eyes and huffs. Jolyne’s phone buzzes twice in her pocket. She checks it in front of Jotaro. It was her Mother telling her dinner was ready. She puts it away immediately, not wanting to be rude. She probably shouldn’t come back home with a younger version of her Father.

She bites her lip and looks into the distance, pondering… Deciding on it, she asks, “Do you want to see somewhere special to me? I haven’t gone there in years.” She smiles slightly and raises an eyebrow. “Unless you have plans to keep wandering around aimlessly.” Jolyne subconsciously decides not to be bitter towards him, since it wasn’t exactly HIM who had left her in her youth… She’ll show him her Father’s better side by taking him to this location.

jotaro-fuckin-kujo

Jotaro raised an eyebrow at the cell phone, but just assumed it was a futuristic pager, and nodded,

“I suppose I could spare some time. But I suppose I’ll try harder when it’s my turn to be your father. To be there for you all the time, instead of just recently.”

He then slid his hands into his pockets, and followed her,

“So, we’re in America?” He asked, seeing all of the buildings and street signs.

poorly-drawnjolyne

Jolyne tries to hide her sincere smile when Jotaro says those words about being a better Father. She never realized or even thought he could have a sweeter side. Snapping out of her daze, she glances at him and their surroundings and says a bit too loudly, ”Yeah! Florida, to be exact.” Facepalming in her mind over how stiff and awkward she was being, she walks a tad faster towards her favorite park. Luckily she didn’t have to converse much since it was nearby.

They arrive at the park. To anyone, it would seem that this is just a field of flowers with dense woods behind it. However, to Jolyne, this field of flowers means a lot to her. They were in full bloom and consisted of multi-colored tulips, daffodils, and even azaleas. This place was peaceful at night and the only thing that could be heard was the chilled breeze and crickets from the woods. She walked up to the statue of a bear in the middle of the field. Gently touching the faded inscription, she speaks: “You took me here when I was younger. I was so excited to finally spend time with you, but…” She frowns. “Afterwards, you didn’t come home for years.”

Not waiting for a response from him, she walks a few paces over and plops down onto the bed of flowers. “Aaah!” Her face is full of glee and nostalgia. She almost forgets that Jotaro is even there. Perhaps this was her way of escaping an uncomfortable situation with him.

jotaro-fuckin-kujo

“Mmm.” Jotaro said, looking around, and giving a small smile, “This place is nice.”

He took out his small notepad and a pencil, and held them up. Star Platinum appeared behind Jotaro and began rapidly scribbling away.

“Star Platinum has perfect eyesight and precision. So I’ll have it draw.”

Within moments, the stand handed back a completed drawing of the park, that Jotaro then handed to Jolyne, “Here. Now it’ll never be far away.” He said.

“I left you alone for years… yare yare daze. That’s exactly like my father. I’m not sure if my changes will affect your memories, but hopefully I can do better when I get the chance.”

poorly-drawnjolyne

Jolyne is extremely surprised that Jotaro would draw her a picture of this place! She sits up, accepting the drawing.  She gives a small sigh and smiles when she looks down at it. Jolyne pats the ground next to her, signaling him to sit down with her. “I appreciate your sympathy… I really do.” And she meant this with all her heart.

Talking to the younger version of her Father wasn’t that hard. It was much easier than actually talking to her real Father. The woman hugs her knees to her chest and continues her last remark before she sat down. “You played with me here and made me a flower crown. We blew bubbles and you let me sit on your shoulders. It was… actually really scary for a little kid.” She laughs at this and sits back. “I have a Stand, too… I only got it about a year ago because I was in danger.” Jolyne looks at him and shrugs. “Dunno if it’s as powerful as yours, though. But I have saved you a few times, y’know.”

jotaro-fuckin-kujo

Jotaro nodded and sat down next to her, and chuckled a bit at the story,

“I’ll keep that in mind for next time.” He replied, “and I’m sure that future me is grateful for you saving me. As for being as powerful as Star Platinum, I don’t think that it matters. Every stand is powerful in its own way. Kakyoin’s Hierophant isn’t very strong, but is an excellent ranged Stand with tons of utility uses. Same with my grandfather’s Hermit Purple. So your stand is powerful in its own way. And honestly it has to be better than Tower of Grey, or The Emperor.”

poorly-drawnjolyne

“Mmm…” She tried to appear lost in thought as a string emerging from her finger slowly went behind them both. The string grabbed Jotaro’s hat and retracted back into Jolyne’s hand, along with his hat. She put the hat on her head and smirked. “Stone Free.”

Her stand suddenly emerged behind her. It’s hand slowly re-wrapped itself going from string to a distinctable hand. Stone Free looked rather bored with the situation and emitted strength and confidence in her posture. She then disappeared.

Jolyne quickly gave a second thought to stealing Jotaro’s hat. She knew that he’d be mad! The agile woman quickly bolted up from her spot and dashed toward the other direction, trying not to laugh. Being this silly was a bit new and odd to Jolyne, but she felt happy at his remarks at trying to be a better Father. Maybe she should have thought twice about stealing his hat, though. She does remember him getting extremely angry about it for no reason.

“You’ll never get your hat back, Jotaro. So long as I live!” If only she remembered that her Father can stop time as she quickly ran away.

Unknown to Jotaro, Jolyne was actually trying to take him to another place deep in the woods. The hat was just a ploy so he wouldn’t ask about where he was going.

jotaro-fuckin-kujo

Jotaro chuckled a bit, and suddenly appeared in front of her, taking the hat,

“This hat is expensive.” He said, putting it back on, “So your stand is called Stone Free, and it uses string? Interesting. Did you name it yourself?” He inquired, as he followed her deeper into the woods,

“I didn’t get to name Star Platinum. It got its name because I pulled a card out of a Tarot deck called ‘The Star.’ The name seemed to fit, so I stuck with it.”

poorly-drawnjolyne

Jolyne gave a slight pout at Jotaro’s time-stop ability. Her fault for forgetting about it. Stepping over the loose roots and leaves of the woods, she explained, “I named Stone Free after a situation I was currently in, actually. I wanted to be free from this “Stone Ocean”, since the place I was trapped in… was on an island. Pff.” Jolyne scoffed, but  did not mention being in jail. Although she usually didn’t give a shit about being imprisoned, she didn’t want her Father to be disappointed in her even if the first time she went to jail was a plea for attention.

“A’ight. This is the place I wanted to show you. Spooky, right?” Jolyne joked towards Jotaro, a wonder and fascination in her eyes. She loved exploring unknown places. “Uhm… To be honest, I couldn’t ever get the guts to go in here alone.” She admitted. The place she was standing in front of was a low-risen cavern with ancient bricks surrounding the entrance. It gave a menacing chill and was pitch-black inside. Jolyne turns the flashlight on her phone and motions him to come along. “I dunno how long you’ll be here, but I always wanted to come in here with you. Let’s go on a mini-adventure?” She offered, smiling. Already taking a step inside, her footstep echoed through-out the cavern.

Suddenly, Jolyne gasps out of surprise as her body is yanked from the entrance and disappears from the dim evening sunlight. Jotaro could hear her fall down the hole until- her scream was completely erased without hearing her land.

fuckin-jojo-and-jowi

Jotaro immediately spring into action, jumping into the cavern, “Jolyne!” He shouted, calling out Star Platinum to assess any and all incoming threats.

He kept his guard up the entire way down, slowing his decent using his ability to fly with Star Platinum.

The hat was just a ploy so he wouldn’t ask about where he was going.

fuckin-jojo-and-jowi

Jotaro chuckled a bit, and suddenly appeared in front of her, taking the hat,

“This hat is expensive.” He said, putting it back on, “So your stand is called Stone Free, and it uses string? Interesting. Did you name it yourself?” He inquired, as he followed her deeper into the woods,

“I didn’t get to name Star Platinum. It got its name because I pulled a card out of a Tarot deck called ‘The Star.’ The name seemed to fit, so I stuck with it.”
