User: Jonathan White (nicknamed Jowi, pronounced ‘Joey’)
Stand stats: N/A to all, but an A in Developmental potential
The user can ‘borrow’ stands from others who are still alive and use them as their own, but the stands will be returned to their user if called. Jowi cannot call out a stand he does not know or one that is in use, nor can he call out automatic stands (Superfly, Black Sabbath, etc.)
When the user calls out a stand, they gain instant knowledge of the stand’s capabilities. The user can also act as a relay for another stand, allowing a user without a long range stand to call out their stand from his location instead, but doing so requires mutual agreement, and Stand By Me cannot already have an active stand for this to work.
ACT 2: Stand Proud
Stand By Me gains the ability to use stands of those who have died, and when he does so, occasionally a shimmering image of the original user may appear behind him.
Using a stand that has died exerts vastly more stress on his body, and he cannot maintain one of these ‘dead stands’ for extended periods of time, though with practice, individual stands may have their time limits increased.
ACT3: Stand By Me, Save The World.
Stand stats: ? In all stats
Entering this act will likely kill the user. All stands that have been previously called upon by Acts 1 and 2 are melded into one single stand. This act can be maintained for a maximum of 5 minutes before the user’s heart stops. The appearance of this stand is of whatever stand the viewer fears most. It has the combined abilities of all stands it is comprised of.
Stand ability: the stand has no form or powers of its own, so instead it allows its user to ‘borrow’ another stand. The original user of the borrowed stand must be still alive or a ghost among the living (Ala Dead Man’s Q’s) for their stand to be called upon.
Jonathan must have knowledge of the borrowed stand to use it, and as such cannot borrow a stand he has never heard of. He also cannot call upon stands from a universe other than the one he is currently in.
If the original user of the borrowed stand at any time activates or calls upon their stand, Stand By Me loses that stand, and cannot call upon it until it is out of use.
Stand By Me cannot call upon automatic stands or stands bound to objects. (Notorious B.I.G., Superfly, Love Deluxe)
Stand By Me can change the stand in use at any time, but can only change to a stand within that stands own range limit. (Cannot change from Echoes 20m away into Star Platinum as Star Platinum can only move 2m away)
There may at some point be a stand evolution to this stand but that depends on if this character is well received.
Hey guys. I really don’t like to do this, but I’m starting a really big let’s play of the game Dragon Age Inquisition on my YouTube channel, and I really do want to continue doing YouTube, but I’ve had 0 growth ever since I hit 40 subscribers a few years back, and it’s really tough to keep going sometimes. So I’d really appreciate if any of you could just give my channel a look and subscribe if you’re interested? It would really mean the world to me to just get some momentum going, and have a reason to keep spending so much time on this, ya know?
About late 2015, I created a character who I would later create an entire universe for and expanded on that universe while talking to @jotaro-fuckin-kujo since then. Now it has 6 parts and I’ve been planning on pitching the idea to some place like Dark Horse as a comic.
It’s called How To Summon A Demon. Hit me up if you want me to write a post explaining it.
Yep. This is a thing I’ve been working with her on. And now she has to type EVERYTHING.
Me and my mother just took our cat, Alice, to the vet
And we jut found out that she has extreme kidney failure. 75% of her kidneys have ceased function and there is only a 50-50 chance that she’ll make it out of this.
I have a brother. He kept stealing the charger to my devices (he got his own tho) and he used to eat my chocolate. He isn't as bad now. He buys me caramel ice cream sometimes.
That sounds AWESOME! Maybe I should ask someone to be my brother.
Jotaro walked into his home after returning from work for the day, and put down his work bag. He took off his jacket, and hung it up, and immediately heard little footsteps running down the hall. (Jotaro-fuckin-Kujo)
“HEEEEEEEY!”
Jolyne yelled as she sprinted down the hall, immediately jumping onto Jotaro.
“WHERE WERE YOU ALL DAY? I WAS BOOOOORED.” She whines as she hugs her Father, pouting a bit. She’s been home all day with Koichi and she finally got tired of his many “fun” facts about math.
“Its the ghost of your first doooooog! I’ve come to ask for an offering of candies!”
Jotaro stared, “Yare yare daze, I guess that I’ve moved through time again. You must be the invisible baby. Being raised by my gramps, that would be the first thing you try.”
She turned back into visibility. “And I am eleven AND have a name. Its Shizuka. And what do you mean travel through time?! Are you having a mid life crisis or something with that outfit?”
“A while back Star Platinum acquired Over Heaven. I don’t quite remember the details as to how I got this power, but it radically changed the way that my life played out. My stand’s fists now have the power to overwrite reality itself, with restrictions. Using this power, I can move through time. That being said, You must forgive me, in my time, we just left Morioh a few weeks ago, and I haven’t seen you since. I didn’t know that the old man had named you Shizuka.”
“Hmph, that sounds weird. But then again, stands are weird like that. I though your stand could only stop time for a few seconds. Like… two seconds? Three? After your heart issues, it really pushed you.” She pocketed her hands, looking at him in curiosity. “So… why time travel? Is something bad going to happen? Someone going to die?”
“Over Heaven allows me to change reality, as such, I can still stop time for five seconds. But anything beyond that is a limit I cannot overwrite. Traveling through time is something I can do by using Over Heaven to punch through time. And I did not come here of my own will. Perhaps I have come here due to some other odd circumstance. Do you by chance know Jolyne? My recent visit to her may be what brought me here…”
“Of course I know Jolyne! She is like my best friend and my great niece too! Wait, have you been trying to fix past mistakes? She has some issues… That could be dangerous. Changing time could have all sorts of results. Some we can’t even imagine.”
“I haven’t changed the past of the Jolyne you know. That isn’t how it works unfortunately. I come from an alternative history altogether. I met the Jolyne you know, and promised to her that I would do my best to be a better father when it was my turn. I came back here recently to show her that I fulfilled my promise and intend to keep doing so.”
Jotaro sighed, “If I met the version of me that was never there for Jolyne, I’d have my Star Platinum tear him a new one…”
Shizuka crossed her arms. “Jotaro… our Jotaro… He wasn’t always good at expressing himself. Not on a personal level. But… He did want to make a safer world for Jolyne. With the power he has, lots want to take him out for bragging rights. Even knowing that, Jolyne still feels like he should have been closer even if staying away made her and her mother safer. Its a complicated situation, you know?”
Jotaro nodded, “In my history, several very powerful Stand users from my trip to Egypt never died. I’m sure that you heard about Abdul, Iggy, and Kakyoin from your father? In my world they didn’t die like they were supposed to. So I had significantly less work to do taking down stand users. Why I happened to be the one so lucky as to have all of his friends alive is a mystery to me, but I’m very glad that I ended up this way.”
Shizuka put a hand to her chin, thinking. “I’ve… heard of something like this. Its a theory… used in comics a lot… Ah! Multiverse theory! Basically, if there is a possibility, there is a universe where that possibility exists as reality! I read a little bit about it on the internet. So I guess you had the luckiest universe.”
“Is that what it’s called? I never read comics that much. I suppose that you would read plenty of comics raised by the old man. And I suppose that I am just part of the luckiest universe. But I want to do what I can for your Jolyne as well. I may not be able to change her past, but I can share the memories that she never got to have with her.” Jotaro said, holding up an envelope of pictures.
Shizuka frowned at that. “It… might not be a good idea. See, she still is a bit angry at the neglect. Showing her that might hurt her. Remind her of all the times he wasn’t there. I get what you are doing and your heart is in the right place… but the end result might end up worse.”
“I showed her the pictures already. It turned out fine. I just ended up here on my way home from work. Likely because I was supposed to meet you… or it could have been completely random.” Jotaro said, putting the envelope in his jacket pocket, “With the way our family is, either one could be possible.”
“Pfft, destiny. Ha.” She grinned and crossed her arms. “I don’t believe in destiny. No one tells me what to do! I make my own life! Only reason the Joestars had to deal with so much was that Dio guy. I mean think about it. The Pillar Men, Diavolo, and that Pucci business? All have connections! They should be all done though. I have my own plans for the future.”
“Pucci?” Jotaro asked, “I suppose I’ll find out. And don’t be so sure. Anything can happen so long as there are Stand Users. Perhaps your adventure will be next. And if it is, do the Joestar name proud, kid.” He said, holding out his hand. The space around it began to warp, and a large lollipop appeared in his hand,
“I believe you asked for candy, right?”
“Yeah… that is a whole other big thing. Jolyne goes to prison, she gets a stand, you lose your stand and memories and almost die. Its crazy. Don’t know all the details.” She grabbed the lollipop with a smirk. “You are alright lucky Jotaro. You keep being you.”
“Perhaps it’ll be different this time around. Everything else has been.” He said, pulling his hand back after she took the lollipop,
“I suppose I’ll try to.” He replied with a smirk, “Next time I visit you, I’ll bring some candy.”
Familiar Stand hands punched out from seemingly the air, and ripped open a hole, with Jotaro, in his part 4 outfit, walking out from the hole, Star Platinum out behind him, "Yare yare daze, looks like I've managed to find you again, Jolyne." (Jotaro-fuckin-kujo)
“WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!?”
Jolyne stood there paralyzed with shock and confusion. She has not experienced anything this bizarre in fuckin’ months.
“Its the ghost of your first doooooog! I’ve come to ask for an offering of candies!”
Jotaro stared, “Yare yare daze, I guess that I’ve moved through time again. You must be the invisible baby. Being raised by my gramps, that would be the first thing you try.”
