Jowi walked up to the meeting spot, wearing a fancy Italian suit with a zipper on the front of it, waiting for Monty. The business attire actually fit him, and his hair was combed to look more neat and organized. With him, he carried a briefcase with two other Stand Arrows inside.
Monty sighed, fingering the clasp of her wristlet nervously. It had been a little over a decade since she last saw her mother, a confident business woman who ran her company with cold elegance. Though from what her brother had informed her the night before last, she hadn’t been doing so well lately. Which worried the singer. “Jowi? Is that you?” She called out.
“Well, I don’t have a Stand that can really fix that… Crazy Diamond doesn’t work on illnesses and such… maybe Gold Experience… but if I’m gonna sneak you in, I’m either gonna need Sticky Fingers, or you’re gonna have to make yourself invisible with your stand, and just stay by me.” He thought of the possibilities as best he could.
“I only hope it’s just her and Jim.” Monty shifted nervously on her heels. “I’d hate for you to deal with either of the Twins. Or Alison.”
“I’ll be fine. You don’t need to worry about me. So, how are we bringing you in? Sticky fingers or hiding in plain sight?”
“Probably better to go with sticky fingers.” Monty replied, “if you don’t mind.”
“Alright.” He said, unzipping the zipper on his suit jacket, with a pocket dimention hole on the other side, “So, uh… yeah…. this is gonna be a little weird.”
“Just don’t rattle me around too much.” Monty quipped, taking hold of the sides, “It takes a lot of mental strength to keep up an illusion, but it’s been a long week and I’ve exhausted just about all I have.”
“Fair enough. But if we get in a fight, you’ve gotta get out of here. This Stand’s user is dead, and I’m not sure how long I can hold it in a fight.” He explained, as she climbed inside, “But hopefully it won’t come to that.”
“Hopefully. And…I wanted to talk to mother. Face to face. I mean, it’s been almost a decade.” Monty muttered, “surely, we can speak like adults.”
“Then would you rather just come with me normally?” He asked, “If things get rough I have a vast lineup of Stands that can get us out of a bad spot. I mean worst that could happen is she doesn’t let you in?”
The singer shook her head. “No. I have to do this. Besides, if she does have a stand, I think she’d rather listen to family than a stranger, no matter how distant.”
“So into the zipper rather than walking up there with me it is.” He said, zipping her in,and walking up to the estate, ringing the bell at the front, and waiting for a response.
The door creaked open and a maid popped her head out, smiling. “Ah, hello! You must be Miss Crue’s appointment.” She stepped aside. “Please do come in!”
“Thank you. I am a representative of the Speedwagon Foundation’s Archeological Division, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” He said to the maid, reaching out his hand to shake

Jowi Arrived at the cafe that Monty had told him to meet her at, and took out his cell phone, dialing her number. After two years in Italy, he had come back to fulfill his promise. He was wearing a light jacket, and a white T-shirt covered in gear designs, with his usual black jeans, and called her, “Hey, Monty. I’m at the cafe. I was just wondering if you’d wanna meet up?”
“Welp… I’ll just have to be ready for anything… I don’t know how many stand users I can fight at once, even with my abilities… I could perhaps sneak you in with me using Sticky Fingers…”
He paused and thought about the logistics of it for a moment, “Yeah, that could be a pretty safe bet for if things go sour…”
“I’ll give Jim a call too. At least then, we’ll know a little of what’s going on.” Monty replied, “granted, I’m not looking forward to it.”
“The more information we have, the better. But for now, let’s just relax and eat. I just got back from an adventure, I’d at least like a few hours break before my next one.”

“Very well. Is your family estate nearby? I have a business suit with me, and I’ll make the necessary calls to the Foundation to arrange a pickup. But first, perhaps we should eat?” He asked, opening the zipper back up and climbing out of the table.
The singer followed, still frowning. “You can’t miss it. Just don’t say you heard anything from me or my father. Things got pretty bad during the divorce.”
“Hmmmm… very well then… I think I have a cover story… though if she has a Stand then that would get complicated…”
He frowned, and then shrugged, “I’ll figure it out when I get to it. Right now, I want a good burger. Everywhere I went in Italy it was just fancy food paid for by Passione, you kinda get to miss simple stuff.”
Monty took her seat and sighed. “Mother doesn’t. She got the house and custody of my other siblings.” She glanced at the menu, “I’ve been a good girl, I suppose I can cheat just once.”
“Mmmm… that’s an odd separation… and your mother seems like… a less than desirable acquaintance. And if she’s had the arrow for an extended period of time, then it’s likely she has a Stand, as well…”
“Even if it’s in the vault?” Monty shuddered, “mother probably thinks she’s lost her mind by now.”
“That many people around a single Arrow? Probably all stand users to be frank.” Jowi replied, before ordering his burger, “Ever contact your other siblings?”

Jowi jumped in afterwards, closing the zipper, and entering the pocket dimension with Monty,
“Sticky Fingers. A stand all about zippers. Quite an interesting and useful stand. It’s a shame Bruno died… anyway, we were going to talk about stands.”
He flashed the Beetle Arrow to her, “You’ve seen a Stand Arrow before, yes? May I ask where?”
The singer flinched at the sight, recoiling slightly. “The Crue family vault; where it’s been for over a decade. I never thought I’d see another one, at least in this life.”
“I’ve seen four. To my knowledge there are less than 10. Two of them were in my hometown of Morioh, one is currently being held by the Speedwagon foundation, one is destroyed or lost, and one was destroyed in Italy, this one is the fourth.”
He spun the arrow in his hand, and looked at her, “So one day you cut yourself on it and developed a Stand? Any other Stand Users in your family?”
Monty glared at the arrow. “My father; he and I are the only ones though.” She crossed her arms and sighed. “He’s always been into the “bizarre”, picking up things at auctions when he was traveling. Most of the time, they were useless nick-nacks.” The singers’ eyes narrowed darkly at the memory, “Until that night.”
“If you don’t want to talk about it, we don’t have to. But that arrow is rather… pertinent to my job. The more of them I know the location of, the better off the world is. Is that Arrow still in your family vault?”
“To my knowledge, it is. However, there’s going to be a lot of trouble getting in.” Monty shook her head, “Especially if my mother is home.”
“Well, I can always use Red Hot Chili Peppers to blow out the security, or you could use your Dream Weaver to cast an illusion to fool the cameras… and as for opening the door, I can always put a zipper on it…
But perhaps a more subtle approach would be in order. I’ll call the Speedwagon Foundation and see what I can do about buying the arrow from your family.”

“Well, there’s quite a few ways. You can awaken it yourself through strength of mind and pursuit of a goal, you can inherit one from a family line of stand users, or…” he pulled out an arrow head with a beetle on it, and dropped it on the table, “You can get stabbed with one of these. I awoke my own. Turns out there’s a few of these floating around in the world. But anyway, I got you a present.”
Monty’s eyes widened behind her glasses as she peered over the menu, face draining of all color. But then she shook her head and smiled. “A present? For me? Oh, Jowi, you shouldn’t have!”
“Hey! I got it for you already, so I don’t wanna hear any complaints!” He reached down into a paper bag, and pulled out a long, dark red silk dress, and handed it to her,
“Here ya go.”
“Oh Jowi!” Monty cried as she reached for it, “it’s gorgeous!” Already, she had a pair of heels in mind that would go well with the dress, as well as accessories. “You have to tell me the shop, please!”
“Uh… well… I’m not gonna lie I don’t remember the name. But I’m sure I could have Giorno find it if you want….” he replied, looking off to the side a bit, “but the better question is… why did you lie to me about stands? I saw the way you looked at the arrow. Star Platinum’s eyes don’t miss much.”
Monty paused, glancing around. Besides the staff, they were the only ones in the shop. But still, it was better to be safe than sorry. “It’s a little complicated,” The singer started, “and a matter I feel should be discussed somewhere with a little more privacy, if you don’t mind. Walls have ears, after all.”
Jowi nodded, and a blue stand clad in zippers appeared in front of him, placing its hand upon the table in front of them, with a zipper appearing on it, and opening it to a pocket dimension,

Green eyes lit up with delight at the number and without second thought she hit the green button. “Jowi! I’ll be able to join you as soon as I finish! Give me at least half an hour, alright?”
“Yeah, I’ll be here. I can wait.” He replied, taking a seat and a menu, and patiently waiting for her to come and meet him.
The half hour passed. The singer paid and left the salon, feeling a lot more refreshed as she dashed down the street. She almost crashed right into the doors of the cafe, but Dream Weaver appeared to catch the door. “Jowi!” She called as soon as she spotted him.
He smiled wide, and waved to her, “Hey! How’s it been going?” He pulled a seat out for her to sit down before she got there,
“I told ya I’d be back. I ended up staying in Italy for longer than I expected, but, I’m back! And I have plenty of stories to tell you.”
Monty grinned as she ran to him, nearly tackling him to the ground in a signature Crue hug. “Tell me everything! Over food of course! Or have you already ate?”
“I waited. Let’s order, I’ll pay. I made a lot of money in Italy. Not sure how much of it is legal, but… you know, as you do.” He said, using a Stand to brace himself from hitting the ground, and standing back up,
“Oh, and I got you a present. Like I promised.”
“Oh no you don’t!” Monty chided, “you just got back; I’ll pay.” She sat down in the pulled out chair and whisked the menu away. “Now let’s see…maybe I should go with my usual…”
“No, seriously, like… I worked with a guy who took control of the most powerful mafia family in Italy. I can pay. Yeah that was a weird two years I just had. But I fought a lot of Stand Users and learned quite a bit.”
He leaned back, and sighed, “So, Monty… what do you know about Stands? Like what do you know about where they come from?”
Monty jumped as her phone rang, earning a glare from the hairdresser behind her. “Ah, sorry,” she winced, snatching the phone from her purse.

Jowi, wearing a slightly more formal attire today for the event, replacing his sweater with a plain white tee shirt and a jacket, entered the venue, and found himself a nice seat in the middle, somewhere he could keep an eye on the venue with a stand if need be, and waited for the show to start.
Jowi smiles, hugging her back, “Hey, don’t even worry about it. I’ll be back, and I’ll see you then. Where should I meet you and how should I contact you?”
“I could give my number.” Monty grinned, “and there’s a little cafe on the corner not far from here.”
Jowi smiled, “Alright, give me your number, and when I get back from Italy, I’ll give you a call and we can meet up.”
He reached into his pocket, and took out his cell phone, ready to type in her number, before his phone vibrated, and he answered it,
“Yeah? Really, already? Alright, I’ll be in front shortly for pickup.” He ended the call and looked to her, holding out his phone, “Yeah, here, just type in your number and I’ll be on my way. They booked me a flight earlier than I expected.”
“Talk about a shame.” Monty tsked, taking the phone and hastily typing her number, “but it’s alright. You’re not the first to walk out and you won’t be the last.” She handed it back to him.
“Difference is, I’ll come back.” He replied, smiling to her and taking his phone back, “Welp, I gotta go. I’ll be seeing ya!”
And with that, he disappeared, stopping time and exiting the building, and disappearing from her life for two years.

Jowi was already backstage waiting for her when she got there, “Hey, come here, are you hurt? I can help you.”
He had been watching very carefully with not just his own eyes, but the eyes of Star Platinum as well. He had noticed the almost hidden movements of her as she went backstage to take care of her wounds, and reached out with a light blue and pink hand of Crazy Diamond, waiting for her to take it, so that he could heal her.
“I thought we were only allowed one stand per user.” Monty quipped hastily, taking the hand offered to her, “or is this your stand’s ability?”
Jowi smiled, restoring her leg painlessly, “My Stand, ‘Stand By Me’ acts as almost like a Stand Library. Provided I know at least the name of a stand, and that it’s user is alive and not using it, I can borrow any stand. My boss thinks that if I work hard enough at it I might be able to do even more with my stand. I could even borrow your Dream Weaver, should the need arise. But don’t worry, if you call your stand out while I’m using it, you get dibs.”
“Well, that certainly explains things.” She grinned, smoothing out her dress, “though I will admit, I’m a little jealous. You can have a stand that matches your outfit practically everyday of the week!”
“Heh.” He replied, “I tend to use multiple every day. But I can’t use long range automatic stands. Like Superfly… that was weird…” he trailed off, squinting as he remembered the bizarre stand, before snapping back to reality, “But! Anyway, I’m glad you invited me here, after this I have to pack my things and head to Italy, and find someone there. I’ll get you a souvenir and bring it back when ai’m done.”
“Oh, you really have to go so soon?” Monty pretended to pout, “I was really enjoying your company. You remind me a lot of my baby brother.”
“Yeah. I can stay for the show, but after that, I gotta go. I have this incredible stand that could help save the world. It’d be irresponsible of me to not use it.” He smiled, “When my boss offered me a job with the Speedwagon Foundation, I was so happy. I could finally make a difference!”

Monty sighed from her spot behind the red velvet curtain. Several things had already gone wrong that evening; the worst being her sampler disappearing seemingly into thin air. But she was determined to make it through the night, head held high and temper cool. Her dress was a deep, rosy crimson with a slit cut just high enough to see above her knee, the crystal around her neck gleaming in the dim light. The curtain started to rise and she stepped out to applause.
“Good even my darlings!”
Jowi was a bit on edge, regretting that he had come and talked to Monty, knowing that it could make her a target by the Foundation’s enemies, but was determined to keep her safe through this performance. He clapped and cheered with everyone else, though, trying to seem as normal as possible, as not to attract any attention.
The singer spotted him almost immediately, but refrained from making contact. It would have been quite unproffesional of her to point him out as well as rude. Instead, she continued the introduction. “I hope you are as excited as I am! Tonight’s show is a real treat!” Monty grinned, relishing in the calls and cheers and without second thought, Dream Weaver appeared behind her. Numerous crystals filled the air around her, one for every table and with a wave of her hand, sent them flying to the empty centerpieces. “Hit it!” She shouted at the musician at the piano. He nodded, opening with the song “He’s A Tramp” By Peggy Lee.
“Hmm, So this is your Stand, huh… let’s see how you use it….” Jowi muttered, sitting back, and trying to enjoy himself.
Monty grinned as she grabbed the mic, hips swaying to the band. In her mind’s eye, the stage beneath her onyx heels was changing, expanding a little, the lights a tad brighter. Behind her, men appeared, neatly dressed in black suits and a plain black mask covering their faces. Each note was perfect, each crescendo invigorating; each break found at least one of the masked men holding out their hand to her for a dance. She would take it, replacing the mic and allowed them to sweep her across the stage. Gleaming green eyes glanced up at Jowi’s table when one in particular dipped her low.
“Illusions….” Jowi said, as the setting began to change, chuckling, “Or perhaps the altering of reality itself… What a terrifying power.”
When she glanced up at him, he gave her a thumbs up and an encouraging nod.
Monty smiled at him, her partner raising her back up and sent her spinning back in the direction of the mic. The song was just about done. She just had to a couple more lines, a few more notes. The singer hadn’t even seen the wire till halfway through her last turn. It caught her ankle, cutting deeply into her skin, and she was flying for a brief moment. But it was just enough time for another partner to catch her. Dream Weaver’s claw sliced through the the metal thread hastily as she grabbed the mic and finished the song. The whole room was silent.
Then, it erupted with applause and cat calls, and it took everything she had not to sigh in relief.
Jowi saw this, and had started to stand up from his chair to help her, but when she was caught by one of her backups, he sat back down, and nodded, wondering how deep her cut was. Hopefully she wouldn’t over exert herself with an injury.
“I’ll have to use Crazy Diamond to fix her leg after the show…” he mumbled to himself as he sat back down.

“What?!” Monty’s eyes went wide, stumbling back dramatically, “You’re kidding, right?”
“Nope. Until about a year ago I lived in a small town in japan by the name of Morioh. I had a really bizarre summer, and decided that my talents were best suited to helping the Speedwagon Foundation protect the world from evil stand users. I can gather by the very least that you’re a singer named Monty, but I’ve never heard your music or of you until about a week ago.”
“Well, then,” Monty hastily righted herself, “We’ll just have to remedy that, won’t we, Dream Weaver?” The stand cooed as she held out her hand and stretched out a claw to clasp it. But it stopped just short of her palm, slowly raising back up to reveal a perfectly round crystal resting where nothing had been a moment before. “I’ve another show in a couple of weeks. If you show this to any bouncer, they’ll know it’s from me,” The singer held it out to him, “and let you right in. No questions.”
Jowi took the crystal, and nodded, “Alright. Thanks. I’ll report back and see if I can take some time off to see the show.”
Monty smiled. “I really hope you can. It’s going to be quite the soirée.”
Jowi chuckled, “I hope it isn’t a shirt-and-tie event, or I’ll have to ask the Speedwagon Foundation for some money to buy a suit. Well, if I do come, I’ll see you then!”
He turned and opened the nearby door to leave, waving goodbye as he left.
